If you are a newbie painter, simply spray this pearl using an intercoat basecoat, which is basically a transparent base coat. This way, you won't have to worry about running your clear coat and will be able to see your pearl lay on.

If you are more advanced in spraying pearls, you can simply add X Finishes directly into your first and second coat of clear until desired look is achieved followed by one or two coats of pure clear coat.
